Nestled above the southern Pacific coast, I could not get enough of the stunning views, especially from my room's ocean-facing balcony-perfect for unwinding with a local craft beer at sunset after a day of exploring. Each morning kicked off with a delightful breakfast featuring a mouthwatering variety of local dishes that properly fuelled our adventures-because who wouldn't want to dive into the rich culinary culture of Costa Rica? The infinity pool, with its two levels, was a highlight, and floating there while watching toucans soar above was a genuine slice of paradise. Whether you're tackling the nearby Corcovado National Park or simply lounging poolside, the attentive staff felt like old friends by the end of our stay, always eager to share local wisdom and recommendations. The ambiance made us feel like we were still in the rural charm that I so love about travel, but with a touch of swanky beach flair-the kind of place where memories are effortlessly created. If you're planning a getaway that blends relaxation with adventure, Vista Ballena certainly fits the bill, ensuring that you return home not just with souvenirs, but with enriching experiences worth sharing over a pint!
